One of the questions I’m often asked is, “Why this profession?” My answer is rooted in my own experiences and the traumas I’ve faced, which led me to a realization: I want to treat the cause, not just the symptoms, in my clients. Recently, I trained in the latest technique to address underlying issues—EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This method is effective for addressing complex trauma as well as everyday challenges. Additionally, I incorporate various therapeutic approaches, including CBT, EFT, SFT, Narrative Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, ACT, REBT, Existential Therapy, Attachment Theory, and more.

I love witnessing the growth and empowerment that come as clients learn true self-love and work toward becoming their best selves. A bit about my background: I worked as an EMT for three years and always felt this work was a calling. My experience spans various settings, from supporting troubled children in the school system, providing in-home counseling, crisis counseling for young women who have experienced human and sex trafficking, and volunteering at a safe house for survivors of domestic violence.

I’ve been in the mental health field in various capacities for over twenty years and have been with Evergreen Behavioral Health Services for nearly four years. I hold two Master’s Degrees from Liberty University—one in Human Services with a focus on Crisis and Trauma, and another in Substance Abuse Counseling. Currently, I am a Resident in Counseling, working toward obtaining my LPC.

I work with a diverse range of clients across all ages, gender identities, backgrounds, and in various family and relationship contexts. I was honored as a “Woman on the Rise” by the Women’s Domestic Violence Center and have served as a guest speaker on empowering survivors of domestic violence.
