👋 About Me
One of the questions I’m often asked is, “Why this profession?” My answer is rooted in my own experiences and the traumas I’ve faced, which led me to a realization: I want to treat the cause, not just the symptoms, in my clients. I love witnessing the growth and empowerment that come as clients learn true self-love and work toward becoming their best selves.
🛠️ Therapeutic Approach
Recently trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for addressing complex trauma and everyday challenges
Incorporates various methods including CBT, EFT, SFT, Narrative Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, ACT, REBT, Existential Therapy, Attachment Theory, and more
📚 Experience
Worked as an EMT for three years, feeling it as a true calling
Supported troubled children in the school system
Provided in-home counseling
Offered crisis counseling for young women who have experienced human and sex trafficking
Volunteered at a safe house for survivors of domestic violence
Over 20 years in the mental health field in various capacities
Nearly four years with Evergreen Behavioral Health Services
🎓 Education
Two Master’s Degrees from Liberty University: Human Services (focus on Crisis and Trauma) and Substance Abuse Counseling
Currently a Resident in Counseling, working toward LPC

Works with a diverse range of clients across all ages, gender identities, backgrounds, and in various family and relationship contexts
